1. Make it a regular routine and habit of listening to podcasts more than movies or series, even though they too too are quite good to listen and see…. because podcasts by themselves are done over specific topics…. may be day-to-day or topics you are able to easily connect with…. So you also might gain interest to share about the stuff you listened to others using English…. THE ENGLISH WORDS AND TERMS YOU LISTENED TO…..

Though at times you might not understand some portions of the podcasts “JUST LISTEN”…. you actually do not need to understand it all…… just without worrying do it….

Tune your ears to the sounds that you are hearing, may be the pauses, stresses and expressions in the voice too……

When you listen to stories or contexts in podcasts you will at least start getting an idea or rough picture or GIST of that….

You can listen to podcasts well anywhere or everywhere, you do not have to settle down to Study English in a specific room or environment……  even when you relax or when you are at work….. or while waiting for someone or exercising… and you can listen them repeatedly to…..

2. Just listen and note down whatever you understood from what you listened and if in case there was something that you didn’t understand rewind and play it back and listen for twice or thrice…..

If in case you are not able to understand even after repeating for many times you could just do a wild guess and note what you understand in that particular space or else you could just leave a blank and then get back to it later….. finishing the rest of the stuff…..

3.  LISTEN TO THE PODCAST AGAIN AND COMPARE WHAT YOU HAVE WRITTEN….. Or that you could even compare with the pdf(text) you have downloaded……. now you might or definitely come to an understanding of “how much you have understood from the podcast correctly”

4. The final and the added step as to how tou can effectively use podcasts for improving your English SPEAKING skills…. is to CORRECT THE MISTAKES YOU MADE WHILE UNDERSTANDING THE PODCASTS and how you could correct them to perfection…..
